VCSPS™ ATTACHMENT SYSTEM!
 We
have listened to suggestions from prosthetists and changed the attachment
for the VCSPS™ (Prep) socket. Effective immediately all VCSPS™
orders placed through our Trumansburg Warehouse will need to be attached
distally to the UFOS™ (outer socket) using the Grace®
attachment plate and the long attachment screws via the following instructions:
Remove the Grace® plate from the UFOS™.
Insert the new VCSPS™ socket into the UFOS™.
Drill 4 holes in the VCSPS™ corresponding with the holes in the
UFOS™.
Attach the VCSPS™ to the UFOS™ using the long attachment
screws.
Care must be taken to eliminate screws protruding into the distal socket.
Pad the plate as needed by inserting either the standard soft distal
pads or the firm distal pad provided with the VCSPS™.
Apply the proximal Velcro® strap out and around the
anterior portion of the UFOS™.
Apply the distal Velcro® strap out and around the anterior
portion of the UFOS™.
Apply the Neoplush® Band to the Velcro®
on the Lateral posterior section of the VCSPS™ around the anterior
portion of the VCSPS™ and back to the hook Velcro on the Medial
posterior section of the VCSPS™. Tuck the edges of the Neoplush®
Band between the posterior UFOS™ and the VCSPS™
Secure the UFOS™ straps in the usual manner.
Thank you for your input, your understanding and for the work you will
need to do to implement this change. We appreciate everyone who has
helped us in our efforts to upgrade our system to better serve your
patients and the medical community. There will be no increase in price
for this improvement to the VCSPS™ design.
