With the FLO-TECH-TOR™ portion of the APOPPS®, you don't have to send your patients home in a heavy, awkward, uncomfortable and uncompromising fiberglass or plaster cast. The APOPPS® is an adjustable postoperative preparatory prosthetic socket for transtibial amputations.

The APOPPS® not only enhances healing, it enables the rehabilitation process to begin. And it ensures peace of mind against possible wound deprivation brought about by a potentially damaging stumble, fall or scrape.

Complete and diligent care.

The FLO-TECH-TOR™ portion of the APOPPS® is light, easy to remove and reapply, giving patients a barrier against possible re-injury, while providing easy access to the amputation site for attentive wound care.

If elastic wrap or shrinkers are needed to add compression and reduce swelling, the APOPPS®'s unique patented anatomic bivalved socket can be easily enlarged or reduced and the bands adjusted appropriately for correct fit and continue future monitoring of bandages.

The Rehab System

The APOPPS® permits controlled, measurable weight bearing when fitted with the Universal Frame Outer Socket (UFOS™). This combination gradually enables the patient to build a tolerance to the firm support required in a properly fitted prosthesis. During this critical period of rehabilitation, the system is designed specifically to resist knee flexion contractures while effectively maintaining good knee alignment. As the patient progresses, the semi rigid plastic sleeve promotes good venous return and helps shape and prepare the residual limb for a permanent prosthesis while helping restore normal gait stance.

Fitting snugly over either the FLO-TECH-TOR™ portion of the APOPPS® or the VCSPS™, the UFOS™; has a four bolt plate permitting attachment of a wide range of lower extremity prosthetic components. (Also available in european, one bolt configuration).

VCSPS™ ATTACHMENT SYSTEM!

We have listened to suggestions from prosthetists and changed the attachment for the VCSPS™ (Prep) socket. Effective immediately all VCSPS™ orders placed through our Trumansburg Warehouse will need to be attached distally to the UFOS™ (outer socket) using the Grace^® attachment plate and the long attachment screws via these instructions.

The VCSPS™ is used when unlimited knee motion is desired. When used in conjunction with the UFOS™, the VCSPS™ provides maximum stability under normal weight bearing.

The VCSPS™, in conjunction with the UFOS™, is a preparatory system that can be used to prepare a patient for fitting of the BB-d a long-term definitive prosthesis using the same socket design features as the APOPPS®.
