Quick Draw Orthopedic & Prosthetic Strap
1: The short length of Hook Velcro located on the Center Triple Chafe
should be loosened during application.
- You may re-attach it in the loosened position to prevent it from
getting tangled on other straps or nearby clothing.
2: Adjust the long Hook Velcro strap attached through the 1" Chafe
to a gentle SNUG fit (NOT TIGHT).
- Even patients with hand strength problems can do this easily!
3: Grasp the Hook Velcro strap attached to the Center Triple Chafe
and pull it until the Center Triple Chafe folds over itself to a newly
tightened position.
- If this setting feels too tight or not tight enough repeat steps
1, 2 & 3 until the best comfort and support position is achieved.
4. When you are ready to remove the socket or sockets simply undo the
Hook Velcro strap attached to the Center Triple Chafe and leave it in
the loosened position.
- Upon reapplication of the socket or sockets you should only have
to repeat Step #3.
- Again, if this setting feels too tight or not tight enough repeat
steps 1, 2 & 3 until the best comfort and support position is
achieved.
The
Quick Draw Strap has been designed with the advice and input of several
patients, prosthetists and orthotists. We hope you find it less bulky
than our ratcheting straps and easier for patients with compromised
hand strength to apply with the appropriate socket comfort and support.
Please feel free to comment on your experiences with the Quick Draw
Strap as we are always striving to meet the needs of those who use our
sockets.
